    Nope, looking for a similar solution for my 8740w. I'd like to force the fan to max burst instead :)
    So far, no luck though...

    under normal usage, most of the time, the fans iterate between high and low speed every 10 seconds or so.. this is seriously annoying me..

    low 50 for the cpu, high 50 for the gpu.

    Maybe if you could do a paste job and reduce some 5-10C that would help, dunno...
