sorry guys, this might be in the wrong section, but I have a serious problem.

I bout an HP dv2700t, and have had it for a little over a month...

allready it wont boot up, even in safe mode, and when I run the BIOS test, I get:

#1-07 Fail on my hard drive.

Does this mean my drive is toast? Is there any way to get my files out and install a new drive? I really dont want to lose all of my music and pictures...

    Thanks!

The drive is toast and needs to be replaced. Depending on what caused the failure, you might be able to put the drive into a USB enclosure and plug it into another computer to recover your files.

But I do not think the files will be recoverable.
