Hi everyone..
i have a CQ41-224TX Compaq Notebook.. in which i corrupt the BIOS several days ago, then i take it to a service store, and they had reflashed the BIOS, now it's working normally.. the perfomance is also the same like before the crash.. however the CPU Fan is acting weird.. it always run in top speed(highest RPM like it's almost overheating) when nothing happens.. what i mean is.. even during idle and cold temperatures..(no load, CPU temp 40-45 C, GPU temp(ATI HD4350) 55 C).. the fan is screaming with full power.. when it used to do the "scream" on GPU temp around 82-85 C when i play skyrim or other heavy games on a room without AC during mid-day(2-3 PM the hottest time of the day)...
i've tried :
1. update the BIOS from F.08 to F.0C.. nothing changes..
2. speedfan.. same.. no changes..
3. drivers and stuff of the newest & fresh windows 7 install.. no changes..
4. Lubricate the fan with oil
the only thing that slows down the fan a bit.. is the power option selection, from active to passive cooling, it will slow down the fan to normal(not silent like it used to do).. but then on a "load" trigger.. the fan back to the highest speed and never back down again..
another thing i noticed.. usually during normal boot on Windows 7 "starting windows".. the fan from normal speed become stopped a momentarily then resume with silent fan RPM.. but now the fan is always normal speed then suddenly goes up to max. speed again after passing the "caps, num, scrl" LED one blink section..
suggestions anyone?
thanks.
