"Adds support for the Intel Anti-Theft Technology."

It really seems like a useless feature IMO...

Y'all might note that this is an Envy 14 BIOS update. It's not for any other Envy models. It really helps if that info is in the title of the thread instead of just "Envy"...

Wait ... so they jumped from F.06 to F.12 ? Does that make any sense?

Updated the driver thread with this BIOS release, along with the new ATI graphics drivers.

I'm tempted to close this thread and encourage discussion in the driver thread but I think we'll leave this open for the time being. :)

I deleted the HP tools partition when I reformatted and installed a new OS. How should I go about flashing to this version of the BIOS? Do I need to recreate the hptools partition?

Simply download and launch the Softpaq executable containing the new BIOS to begin the flashing process. You do not need to recreate the HP_Tools partition.

I downloaded the sp49999.exe executable and ran it, and although it tells me it is going to upgrade me from F.02 to F.12A, upon reboot I find that I still have F.02 installed. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
