    [DV6z]What is this under the left hand palm rest area?

    i recently purchased a DV6-3210US and ive noticed today that my left palm gets hot, i know this is an issue but i looked under and i noticed this vent, can anybody tell me what it could be? this might be the cause of it, im soo sure

    That vent is like a passive intake vent, can't tell since there is like no airflow.

    Well the harddrive is in direct contact to the surface near it. So the heat transferred on the left palm rest area. It feels warm like most harddrives are.

    mine gets hot and starts making clicking noises, so i then proceed to punch that side until the clicking stops!

    its an hp dv9700 the whole area were you put your wrists allways get hot. it has had 3 hdd and still they all die so, why not punch it :)
