I've decided to take on the duty to post the latest drivers that are compatible with the following notebooks. It is part of my ongoing, informal commitment to help assist those who had performed clean installs on their HP notebooks. Please let me know if you find newer drivers or other devices so I can update this post!

Drivers
All of these drivers come from HP's website, Microsoft Update, and from other reputable websites (including other manufacturers). All of the drivers here are also WHQL Certified or digitally signed drivers, available as of the date when this post was updated. These drivers should be compatible with the notebook series stated above, but I am not responsible for technical difficulties that can occur as a result of improper driver installation!
Following along the same lines as the other driver threads, the process of installing and updating drivers is for ADVANCED/EXPERIENCED users only. Average users can use the drivers located at the HP support portals -- they're the safest and simplest way to go in terms of drivers for your specific model. Some of these drivers may work with notebooks other than the stated brand and models, but this is NOT guaranteed. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK -- only install these drivers if you know how to revert the changes that you have made should any problems be encountered.
Intel Chipset Device Software
Important Information
To ensure that all device drivers are updated, simply execute the downloaded setup file using the -overall parameter.
Example: If you saved the downloaded file as infinst911autol.exe to the root directory of C: drive, you can launch the Run command (Windows key + R) and insert "C:\infinst911autol.exe -overall" in the Open field (without the quotes). Press OK to begin the interactive installation process.
Starting with Intel Chipset Device Software package version 9.2.0.1016, the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver may become overwritten with the driver that exists in the package if it is installed. Should such an instance occur, reinstall the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver afterwards.
Version 10.0.14 originates from and is provided by Micro-Star International (MSI). The zip package contains the setup installer and release notes.

Intel Rapid Storage Technology
Important Information
Intel Rapid Storage Technology was previously known as Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
It is highly recommended that you install this even if RAID is not configured on your system. See Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) - Product overview for more information.
If you are having problems with the Interactive Setup wizard, use the INF Install method instead. This allows the driver to be installed using the Device Manager - Update Driver wizard. Once the driver is installed, you can try the Interactive Setup wizard again to ensure that the software is correctly installed.

Important Information
This driver package is compatible only with notebooks that have an Intel 7-series motherboard chipset with integrated graphics technology, and should not be used if an AMD graphics card is included with the notebook.
It is strongly recommended that you remove all previous versions of the Intel graphics driver prior to installing the newest version.

The dv4-5XXX series share many drivers with the dv6-7XXX / dv7-7XXX series, I may just add support for the dv4-5XXX to this thread. -
I'd also like to post my thanks for all who keep this page updated.
Even though I only have an HP DV7 6197ca model, many of the updates are relevant for my system too.
When combined with 16GB RAM, dual SSD's (Intel 256GB 520 Series) and the beta IRST 11.5.1171 storage drivers, many of the updates on the first page have given my system a noticeable increase in the responsiveness of my system (from the fully updated (via HP Support Assistant) 'stock' version I was running two weeks ago).
I am curious if updating the BIOS firmware would be beneficial (or even possible...) - I may have to try it sometime (I'll report back if I do).
Tried updating the BIOS from F.1B to F.0A but the installer is smarter than me: Wrong file for my notebook! Lol... (well, I tried...).

Intel Wireless Display Software version 3.5.34.0 is being distributed by Toshiba, and the Intel WiFi Link driver version 15.5.3.43 is currently provided by Lenovo. Additionally, the download link to Intel Wireless Display Software version 3.5.32.0 is not up on the HP FTP yet; hopefully it will be within the next few days.
HP has also made available an NVIDIA graphics driver that is natively compatible with these notebooks on both Windows 7 and Windows 8 (version 9.18.13.546 - 305.46). However, it will be listed as a Previous Release because version 9.18.13.623 (306.23) is currently available from NVIDIA directly.

Note from a HP employee:
"Everything (drivers and windows 8 products) is set to release on Thursday (10/26). It may take 24 hours for the site to completely build.
Most computers sold after October 1st 2011 will be supported with tested Windows 8 drivers. There are some exceptions, which I'm pulling together, and not all Windows 8 features will function after upgrade for all models. "
"Secure Boot will be DISABLED by default after bios upgrade, Consumer desktops will not support Win8 BIOS/UEFI features after upgrade"
