So about a week or so ago I did a system restore. Went back to factory settings to start out fresh.

Once that was complete, I did some Vista tips and tweaks as found here on nbr, updated my video drivers etc etc.

I have my laptop set up to 'Sleep' when I close the lid while on battery. Before doing the system restore, I would do this every night. Close the lid, and unplug the power. In the morning, I would open up my laptop, would ask for a password and my battery would still be at almost 100%.

Now, this doesnt happen. I did it the other night and in the morning my PC was off. Rebooted and battery was at 0% needing to be charged.

I have a feeling this may be a simple little fix, but iunno what to check out.

Maybe my battery is starting to fail? Only had this notebook for about 6 months and 85% of the time I have it plugged in.

checkout your power settings profile, it should be under Lid options, an option to sleep when lid closed is there, the other option includes just turning off the display only
