Its the same situation with an assortment of games I've tried: Vindictus, Crysis Warhead etc...

When ever I hold down 'W' key to walk forward, I cannot look around with the trackpad as if it was locked. (In many cases, I am only able to move it for a split second after I hold 'W' to walk, then it locks and I can't look around anymore.

I am using the laptop's trackpad, not a mice or any other peripheral.

If this problem persists even if I used a mice, it would make any FPS unplayable as looking around while moving is crucial to the game play. I will investigate this issue further as my new Logitech mouse comes in through the mail.

Do any of you guys have similar problems with the dv6tqe as well?

I believe some people where talking about a setting you can turn off somewhere to disable that problem in which you can only use either or at the same time.. it's in the owners lounge thread somewhere in there..

if i find it i'll let you know

Yes I also remember seeing it in the thread some pages behind. But I guess once your optical mouse arrives you wont need it anyways. And I'm sure your optical mouse will work perfectly in game!

Oh BTW I set up profiles so I can easily switch between Palm Check off for gaming and on for standard.

That's a good idea. I didn't realize that palm check was something I took for granted until I started making errors in my essays where I would random start typing in strange parts of my essay because my palm accidentally clicked on somewhere in the passage.

If you really really helped someone out and they wanted to thank you you dont have to ask for rep.
