Excuse me , my name is ferdian, i have a HP laptop which model DV2000 AMD, a few days ago I just replace a new motherboard, after at home, I turn on my laptop and check the temperature using HWMonitor and PCWizard, I was very surprised to see the GPU temperature reached 70 degrees celsius, but processor temperature is normal ranges 47-50, what happen to my GPU, even though the laptop has just turned on and without doing any activity, i'm not playing any game or watching movie, just turn on..
anyone can help my problem? please... give your advice to me...![]()

Unfortunately, you have an Nvidia GPU (either the geforce go 6150 or the 7200). Both GPU's are known to run hot and also part of the nvidia GPU manufacturing defect. The options you have is to either do the copper shim modification for the heatsink (check the web & forums...there are instructions on how to do this). Additionally, make sure you have the newest bios available since HP did set the fan to run always which will help a little bit to prolong the life of the system.
