This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Guys, i left some thing dowloading last night, went to bed, woke up, the downloads were finished, but the computer was completely frozen.
    hard reset the notebook, and now every time i enter the documents folder inside my user folder i get this error message.

    Can anybody help me??

    Yeah John... after posting... i kind of panicked being my first issue with Vista. Should have googled for this first.

    I turned off DEP for Dllhost.exe and the issue is fixed.

    Hope this fix doesn't come with any side effects....

    I had the exact same problem, a week ago.

    I installed the latest version of my Codecs and it's been fine.

    It's caused by thumbnails of videos/pictures.... which require codecs
