    Hi ,

Serious problem with this rather good laptop...

Bought a Compaq v2000 one year ago.
1.4Ghz Amd Semprom, 512MB RAM, 60GB HDD, Windows XP Home, etc

And 1 month ago when I turn on my laptop some horizontal lines appear on the top of lcd.

Something like fixed lines, continuos and strong, I did some reboots and wait temperature down but nothing solve my problem.

I really need a opinion before to pay a expensive maintenance or something like that.

Someone can help me? please... :(

    Thanks

That sounds like a video chip problem... which is bad, since that requires a motherboard replacement. Verify this by plugging in an external monitor. If that works correctly then I'm wrong.
