The HDMI output on my DV9207 has been working beautifully from the factory. There is something weird that I have not been able to figure out though. I use Media classic player. Commercial dvds only play for about 20 minutes and then this error "copy protection failed" would come up. However, there is no problem with movies without encryption. This might be one of Vista's many flaws. I will play some movies with XP tonight. We will see what happens.

By the way, you are missing a whole lot of fun if you are not using that HDMI connection. I connect my laptop to a wide screen projector and work, watch and play on a 92'' screen.

I just thought of something. This has to be the mother of all ironies. Legally purchased dvds don't work, but ones with the encryption removed will. In other words, only pirated movies will work on your Vista computer (if you are outputting to another display.)

I have a GeForce Go 7600 and i also have drivers from laptopvideo2go. I believe i have the latest drivers. I have noticed that there are three areas for tv-out settings. windows mobility, display, nvidia control panel. they all seem to be unable to output. I do have dual boot with XP, but i have not yet tried tv out under xp. i'll try it later and see if it works properly or not

Yes, that is amazingly ironic. Just like how, if you have a legitimate, store bought dvd, you have to sit though the fbi warning telling you that you're an evil pirate. but if you get a pirated version, it's completely removed.
