Rum memtest86. Check your CMOS battery.

Sounds like the CMOS battery on the motherboard died. Depending on whether or not your laptop is under warranty, you're either going to have to send it to HP or take it apart yourself to get to the CMOS battery. It's usually a standard coin-type cell, a CR2032 or similar. (NOTE: This is totally different from the main laptop battery)

sometimes the battery is found under the RAM and wireless card cover.

Ok, changed the cmos battery and it still has the same problem, what's weird is that when I first turn it on, the time is like 2:38, so it was keeping time, and then it resets itself to 2:30 and keeps time till I turn it off. When I try and get it to sync with internet time, it says an error occured while windows was syncing with time.windows.com. I tried all the sites. please help, I don't wanna have to send it in

your ram is no good. It is either the ram slot or the ram

I ran the memory diagnostics tool that is on my computer, and it said every thing is ok. My notebook seams to run fine.

Not sure how, but I fixed it. Ran regrun, and deleted a bunch of things. The computer would not even boot after that, started it in last known working condition, still had the problem, so did a system restore to 10 days earlier, still had the same problem. Set the clock to near the right time, and now it synced with the webpage. Rebooted, and now everything is good. Guess it was not hardware related after all.
0x00000004 the memory could not be read
