As the performance of my 2530p is quite poor(it need around 1-2 minutes to boot up the vista), I think the root cause of the problem maybe the 1.8" sata hardisk. Below is the hd benchmark figure of my 2530p.

Actually, I plan to buy a optical drive bay and insert a 2.5" sata harddisk(7200rpm, 250GB or 300GB) as a secondary drive for data storage. I am considering if window vista should be installed in 2.5" new harddisk or retained in the original 1.8" disk, or should I buy another 1.8 ssd hardisk (32GB or 60GB) for the window vsta only. I wonder which should have better performance between 2.5" 7200rpm harddisk or ssd.

I would appreciate if someone could give an advice?

    Thanks

That boot up time is normal IMHO.
