    Hi,

I'm interested in buying an HP Pavilion dv6t quad edition laptop, but there seems to be no option to configure a screen with resolution higher than 768p. I would really like to get a 1080p, because I really need a higher resolution to work more efficiently. Do you know if it's possible to swap the screen, and if so with which parts?

    Thanks a lot.

I would be interested in this as well, or swapping out the 1600x900 in the dv7 for a 1080p screen.

Right now this does not seem possible.

HP is wanting to differentiate between their Envy line and the DV line.

They want you to spend more money and step up to the Envy if you want this feature.

    So far...

This sucks because Envy 15 is very hard to find in Europe (where I live) and (except the 17") Envy still has no Sandy Bridge here and is overpriced... I'm not even sure Envy 15 has FullHD though.

The Envy line is supposed to go through a refresh next month (April) like the DV line did this month.

So we will see what HP has on tap.

I read it somewhere else on this forum. No "official" news source.

I'll see if I can find where I read it.
