    12 cell battery on 6000z

    Dv 6000z notebook is 4 months old and use to get 5 hours on battery now only get 2 and a half hours. Anybody else have issues with 12 cell battery

    Have you changed any of the power settings. Normally, to save as muh battery life as possible, the computer should be on "Max Battery" or "Portable/Laptop". That way, the processer will automatically adjust its clockspeed to fit the load that is placed on it. Also, if you are running alot of programs and doing a lot of work on the notebook, then that will result in low battery run time.

    The brightness level on your LCD also makes a huge difference in battery time. Try calibrating your battery by draining it all the way and then letting it charge to 100% capacity as per HP's recommendations.
