If you look on Voodoo's site www.voodoopc.com you can see under the top "Envy", under it there are three separate images, each with different launch dates. The 13" Envy is coming out on June 13. Two more Envy notebooks are coming over the next two weeks, on June 20 and June 27. They look really nice, I'm looking forward to see what else Voodoo has to reveal for the gamers. They still major in gaming computers, and the 13" Voodoo isn't a gaming notebook at all. BTW, in a video about the new Envy, Voodoo's CEO hinted at some major graphic advancements coming later this year, but he couldn't reveal them. Sounds interesting...
An official response from a Voodoo rep (yes, there are two more notebooks coming):
"Its a teaser site. Those are pictures that are designed to tease you more. On those dates, more pictures will be available of each of the products."
"We just launched 2 new products The Envy 133, and the Omen. I am sure we will have other products "soon" (BWahahahaha couldn't resist) but for right now, we are shipping these."

Yeah I saw it as well lets hope they are 16" and 18" screens.
-
Zooming in on the small thumbnail we can clearly see:
1) Exhaust on the back, which is not present in the 13"
2) DVI and VGA output on the back, which is, again, not present in the 13"
3) Power or maybe even S-Video out on the back again, not present in the 13"
So one can only assume it's a 15" or bigger product! -
Im pretty sure that's a right side profile pic of the 133...everything is in the same location as it. Left to right:
1) Exhaust on the side is present on the 13"
2) eSata and USB
3) Power cable
Just after the power cable is the Kensington lock slot as well.
Not to mention the notch on the right side is due to the hinge design of the screen.
Compare it with this view and the similarities are apparent.

Id wait and see what happens next week before jumping to conclusions. -
Well now that you mention it... Yeah I think you're right :|
Damn. But they said they'll bring out some new products "soon"...
Guess we'll just have to wait and see... -
i think there is 2 possible outcomes.
1. They are just shots of the Envy133 because on the 20th and the 27th they are going to show more details about the Envy133.. software.. power saving/charger size .. movies talking about it .. etc
thus making the 2 new larger gaming notebooks ages away
2. They used shots of the Envy133 because the 2 larger notebooks are repainted/surfaced HP's and are 2 ugly for the teaser site.
thus making the 2 new notebooks ugly
the Envy133 is clearly there flagship design i would expect a downhill slope from here.. kind of like from the m1330 to the>>> m1730
IM temped to hold off my skullcap m15x order for the 15-16inch Voodoo.. but really what can they do... 3800 at best.. same 3dmark06 scores as the m15x... mabye the same battery life with out smart bay?.... Carbon fiber.. . can splinter into deadly shards if unsuported.. etc... gurrrrr 20th hurry up! -
sorry to bring the bad news but there is no new laptop coming on those two dates, its just simply new features for them. Now the 13" envy is gonna be available to purchase sometime in august. I talked to Voodoopc on the phone and they stated they are working from the ground up, so 13" notebook first then the 15.4" and 17" notebooks in a couple months from now with the new monty chipsets.
I know its a long wait for the gaming versions but the design looks great, also their will be color opinions to choose from even with the 13" version and you can custommize the color and add any design you want to if needed. I confirmed this morning with customer service, so a little wait longer for the gaming versions of these systems. And they are not clevos, they are designing their own notebooks from the ground up like alienware, will be interesting to see what their new gaming notebooks with monty will be like. -
Does that mean that we are going to have to wait for the other gaming DESKTOPS if there are any?
-
ohh lame ... sounds like 2-3months 2 long going to get a m15x... sigh poor voodoo now i will have to hope your new notebooks are not 2 powerfull ^_^
-
*points you at montevina flagship*
-
Carbon fiber.. . can splinter into deadly shards if unsuported.. etc... gurrrrr 20th hurry up!
actually, if made properly, carbon fibre act much better than a simple plastic or metal becaue if it gets damaged any way, the chassis only get minor damages instead of the damage growing through a crack and growing through cracking. -
If those 15 and 17" models look half as good as the 13" one, they'll be absolutely amazing. Too bad I won't be able to afford one anytime soon...
-
I just hope they come out on the 20th and not like someone is saying, 2 months away...
-
one of them is coming out on the 20th, the other one on the 27th.
-
do you have any proof of this?

Read my OP on the first page...
-
i would be interested in buying one but Intel's new Nehalem is so close. I might wait till the update there notebooks to that, and the price if it is too ridiculous there is no way, I also want a high end GPU with that as well.
-
Voodoo will probably charge twice as much as Alienware does for their notebooks. They overprice their notebooks too much.
-
-
I don't think they'll set the pricing that much higher than the competition.
Think about it, a fully customized m15x with blu-ray is $4100+ tax, and a m17x is $5100+ tax.
And then again, the 133 is only like $300 more expensive than the Macbook Air, and besides OS X, everything else is better in the 133 than the Air. (IMHO).
So I'd expect some 15.4" gaming laptops from Voodoo at around $3000 fully configured at $4k. -
as stated in his video demo of the new laptop, their partnership with HP allows them to reduce the price of the machine by quite a substantial amount
-
carbon fiber + shiny looks awesome
-
Im not so sure the other notebooks are coming out next week and the week after anymore.
If you go to www.voodoopc.com and click on the teaser image for June 13th it just talks about the power brick.
Hmm, what to make of this; Voodoo is certainly keeping us on our toes! -

Dont waste your money on a piece of crap HP. Voodoo will be gone in a year or two, or decimated like Hp did to Compaq. Compaq was known for their rugged reliability and durability in both the mainstream and enterprise levels for years. When Hp took them over, they basically killed them one part at a time and made them into crap. Now the Compaq line is the low end of Hp, Hp being already low end. So Hp first killed Compaq. Now they will kill Voodoo. I am amazed how stupid the old voodoo folk are thinking that this is good for the company. Obviously they have their eyes closed and all they see is the money now. Just give it a few months, and they will see that Hp is going to kill them off and then they will all be out of work. Why? well its simple Hp is everything Voodoo is not. And the problem is Hp bought them, and does not give a crap about what the Voodoo people had. The traditions of a voodoo owner are gone, the experience is dead, the performance and looks are gone, and now the only thing left is a laptop which looks like a hp pavillion, with a voodoo sticker. The tech support and warranty have all went to the ****s and now it is all taken over by HP.
Voodoo is going down, and it is quite obvious from their business standpoint.
I am glad I own three real Voodoo's not these crappy ones.
Congratz Hp for killing another great company.
K-TRON -
so you own 3 real CLEVO's! lol.
by the look of all your posts, your opinion is not going to matter anymore since you have no analysis in it. "hp is gay, HP IS GAY!!!!" who wants to listen to that.
oh and it nothing like the pavilion. -
perosnaly... but i know u will no agree... i would rather a carbon fiber laptop than some block of plastic.. you cant say they are not lifting the bar.. the new voodoo looks like its going to be more like apple than any thing els..
i think it will do very well.. its like the "sharp mac".. but i guess u think macs design is poor and "gey"... which is quite lol.
i think your more annoyed that you have a bunch of clevo nockoff repaint jobs.. than this new style for voodoo.. which is clearly superior in looks and size/features etc -
no i actually agree with you.... if you were talking to me. i like this design. its a good thing that they are like apples. they make the greatest designs first and also have some of the most sought after engineers in the world.
-
I strongly believe that these new notebooks ARE VOODOOS because they are designed and engineered by them. The old ones were obviously re-branded Clevos; if they paint "ENVY" on the D901C doesn't make it not a Clevo.
-
Yeah, just jump on me, cause you dont know what youre talking about.
I dont own three clevo's, one is a clevo, one is a arima, and one is a compal.
And I only bought the U709, the other I got for free, so dont say I waste money. I am very computer handy, and able to fix just about any problem, which is why I buy the laptops from voodoo owners who do not want to pay say $500 or more to fix their systems. I get them for free, and just pay for shipping.
I have never said Hp was gay, I said that they are generic and low quality.
I dont see how this new style is superior, polished plastic/fake carbon fiber is no way more appealing than a professional paint job.
The masking on the laptop and its swirl pattern is identical to that of a pavillion, so I do not see how you say it is different.
The new laptops are streamlined so that more people can afford them, which means that their is no amazing paint job, and generic parts to keep the prices down. To you a paint job may be worth little, but too many it is worth a lot. Especially perfectionists. I spent $2500 to have my system painted and leafed to make my laptop the way I wanted it, and I am glad that it looks the way it does.
I do not own a HP laptop and I never will. I own a real voodoo, and you all dont.
The reason I am so mad, is because the Voodoo techs have no say in anything. Hp bosses them around, and thus nothing appears that is any good.
I am mad, cause now my warranty which I spent so much for is basically worth nothing cause Voodoo's customer care and warranty is now with HP. So I was told I need to purchase a HP warranty for my system. I told them no, and I am never buying from them again.
Hp is killing the company, and you guys just arent seeing it.
Voodoo will be dead within a year, just like Hp killed compaq.
K-TRON -
Commissioner Anthony Notebook Consultant
Lets see, I have a compaq server and 2 compaq desktops, which all crank because they weren't plagued with Hp's stupidity which resulted after hp's aquisation of compaq. Mmm, where does compaq stand today? at the lowest end of Hp's computer offerings, in both laptops and desktops. Compaq's are now some of Hp's cheapest offerings, occupying the "extreme low end machine category" where before the aquisation, compaq's were top of the line machines. How so? Cause i spent $1800 on a compaq desktop back in 2000, which is almost impossible today, in dealing with compaq's offerings. I wonder where voodoo will end up in hp's plans in a few years? listed just above dirt cheap compaq's on hp's webpage.

We'll see what they're teasing us with in a few more hours...

MICHAELSD01 Apple/Alienware Master
Maybe we'll see a new notebook next week. Voodoo definitely made it clear that 15" and 17" notebooks are coming really soon.
-
Where are you even getting this stuff? Rahul himself rebutted these claims on the VooDoo boards.
But, seriously, paint? That's your biggest complaint? And it's not even a valid one, as the paint is still an option. -
Voodoo usually overprices their notebooks. Does anyone think that Voodoo will ease-up on pricing?
-
I think they'll stay fairly expensive, but much less than what they were. -
-
So many opinions, so little real knowledge of the HP Compaq merger.
HP didn't kill Compaq when they bought them out. They wanted Compaq's excellent business/enterprise products and this was merged to form what we now know as the "HP Compaq" brand of enterprise hardware.
My HP Compaq machines are just as great as the older Compaq business machines. These are essentially the new Compaq enterprise products and internally, they are still pretty much Compaqs, i.e. designed and engineered by the same team.
If you want to start complaining about cheap, generic HPs, try looking at the generic Clevo chassis for a start. The Clevo chassis is weak compared to the high end HP Compaq business notebooks. -
Does carbon fiber attract fingerprints?
-
It's a teaser site. They didn't reveal anything about any new notebooks, did they?
-
No, we have not released any info on any other lappies other than the Envy 133.
