Anybody has an idea when are going to be available the Pavillion notebooks with 17" WUXGA screens? I've seen Sony already has them. This is the only thing I'm waiting for to get a HP notebook.

    Doesn't the zd7000 have a 17" WUXGA?

I just checked out the HP.com site, and the funny thing is, the ZD7000's don't have a WUXGA screen. The highest is a WSXGA+. I guess there hasn't been enough demand for them.

It doesn't make much sense to me, that HP put a WUXGA on a 15" models but not on the 17". It should be the other way around, no? Probably this is the next step to do.

I saw the 17" WUXGA on a Sony laptop and it is simply amazing. The space is huge and graphics chrystal clear, but the other computer hardware pretty average and way too expensive.

I hope HP will upgrade their 17" models to WUXGA soon, then I'm immediatly running to buy one.

Well, that may explain why the Sony notebook costs so much. The WUXGA screens are an expensive item. The 15.4" models have them probably because they sell better than the 17" models. If they know that the 15.4" models with the WUXGA screens will still sell and make money, why not.
