I remember reading an older thread here where someone put a 17" WUXGA in an older model HP (like a dv9900 or something). The person even listed the screen here purchased, where it was purchased and how it was swapped.

Wondering if anyone had plans to try this on their new dv7t. I'd like to get this laptop, but I just hate the idea of a WXGA (glossy) screen whereas a 17" WUXGA (matte) would be preferred, but not offered by HP.

This downside on the screen is leaning me more towards a Dell Studio 17 because they offer a WUXGA (albeit glossy - ugh!) screen at least.

Anyone with balls so I don't have to risk my own? (my wife owns them any way)
