I paid 90 dollars for 2 day shipping on my dv9000z (my first time ever paying for 2 day shipping on anything), because I really need the computer before I leave for school. Today is the third day since it was shipped, and it was estimated to arrive by 4:30 today; it didn't. I called FedEx and they told me that I wouldn't recieve my package until "probably Monday." Do you think HP will give me trouble if I ask them to refund my money?

This is only my second time ever purchasing anything from HP. The first was the dv8000t, and I had to return it after one week because of keyboard problems. Now, I try to get a new computer, and there's already problems before it arrives.... AHHH! So far, I'm really not impressed with HP at all! I can only hope that I will absolutely love my dv9000 when it arrives, and that I'll be able to totally forgive all the trouble HP has caused me in such a short period of time!

ouch I opted for the free 5-7 days but from others user experience once it ships and (assuming it doesnt run into u.s customs problems) it usually arrived 2 days or so after being shipped I know mine left from china to alaska in a day then ran into u.s customs problems forever but as soon as it was released it arrived the next day so 2-3 days was normal for regular shipping

Tell them you'll refuse shipment and buy another unless you get the $200 coupon code and $100.00 price drop and see if they bluff!

Was it actually shipped 3 days ago?

Yesterday, I had a local HP reseller order me a nc6400 from an Indiana warehouse. We are within 1-day ground delivery time from this warehouse. Apparently, however, they shipped the notebook via FedEx ground and the laptop did not arrive today.

Interesting tidbit: FedEx Ground is a separate service from FedEx Express (the air/express shipping service). The drivers own their own trucks and operate as independent contractors.

My contact stated that UPS Ground would have almost certainly delivered the notebook around or before 2 PM, yet that FedEx Ground is inconsistent .

My laptop shipped on the 25th and arrived in Minneapolis today the 26th, but it`s scheduled to be delivered on the 30th and I live in Saint Paul, about 10 miles from Minneapolis, it`s going to take 3 days for it to come only 10 miles? I called HP today and they said because I chose 5-7 day shipping, that HP won`t release it for delivery until 5 days have gone by. That stinks, I asked about 2 day shipping and they said it would cost $79.00 and I would get it on the 29th, I think I`ll save my money and wait the extra day.

Yeah, my dv8000t arrived fairly quickly and I chose standard shipping with that.

I called HP this morning and asked them to refund my shipping money, and after multiple times of them saying "no, we can't refund your money," I was finally able to get my money back! So it ended up being free shipping after all, but my computer still hasn't arrived yet...
