They get skittish b/c to them it's like "what if it doesn't work after the bunnies are out!" And then i showed them my sager and it's SPOTLESS. They were like "well you like to tweak everything!" to which i said "i won't touch anything, it's not mine"

They're sharp on my "let's tweak dept", but that thing runs hot to the point you can feel it 4 feet away.

How old are these sisters? It matters because I don't want to suggest anything that wouldn't fit their ages

The dv2000 looks like it will support up to 2 GB's of DDR2 PC2-5300 which is about $25-30 at Newegg. Just buy the 2 X 1 GB kit so they are a matched set to enable the dual channel memory.

As far as the girls go just send them shopping and do it while there gone!!! HeHe...

That Sager sounds like a dream. Enjoy!

It already has 2G in it... As for the girls, that's what I'm thinking (send em to the mall)

the sager... what's 15", looks boring, has 8GB RAM and a GTX 260m... *rawr*

If it's an AMD dv2000z it'll support 4GB. I put 4GB in my dv9000z (same generation, larger screen). Crucial is my favorite notebook memory brand. I'm not sure about Intel dv2000t's, Intel was much later with 4GB support. You will, of course, need a 64-bit OS to make full use of 4GB.
