First - Happy Chrismahanukwanzika to everyone!

    Now, the questions:

#1 - HP ships this laptop with DDR2-667. If I upgrade to DDR2-800, am I going to see any appreciable increase in performance (already upgraded the dual 250GB 5400 HD's to 320GB 7200's & saw a nice increase with that!)?

#2 - The Atheros wireless system in this PC - will it recognize the new 5GHz 802.11n, or is this only a 2.4GHz transceiver (don't want to waste money on a dual-band router if the laptop will not be able to take advantage of all the features the router can offer)?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Not much of a difference but the laptop should already be using DDR2 800. HP has been shipping DDR2 800 modules in their systems for quite a while now. Even my tx2500 which I purchased in June 2008 had DDR2 800 modules.

    2. According to the spec list for your system, it should. But check the model number on the card, that should enable you to find the exact wireless specifications that the card should support.
