I Have a dv6-3150us coming to me in a week or so. I have never owned a dock before but the notebooks page made a reference to the "xb4 Media Docking Station" and I decided to check it out. The dock is cheap and I could use the extra ports & media bay.

I believe my computer is pretty new whereas the dock is of older design and is probably for older DV6's. Unfortunately after searching for an hour - I still can't find out if its truly compatible with my specific computer or not. Can anyone help me out here  ?

The xb4 docking station should be compatible with the current line of dv6's, as long as it has the expansion port. I have the docking station for my dv6t-2000 and it works pretty well.

Just as a reference, a decent price for the xb4 would be about US $80 or less.

If I recall correctly, the XB4 came out either a few weeks before or after the DV6. It should work fine.
