Hi there,
The laptop I'm using is the HP dv6710ea, which comes with a 250GB Harddrive. I have checked this both on the HP website, and via Device Manager. Under disk Drives it says I have Samsung HM250JI ATA Device.
Yet when I look both through My Computer and Easus Partition Manager it shows two partitions; C: - 221.28 GB and D: (HP Recovery) - 11.61 GB.
That adds up to 232.89GB. So my question is; where is the other 17.11GB?
Easus doesn't even show unallocated space...![]()
If this should be in hardware problems I apologise.

Oh sorry for not searching the forum first!
My bad!
Thanks to both of you though
Merry xmas
EDIT:
I have now had a little nosey around vssadmin via the command prompt (in admin mode) and using the vssadmin list shadowstoreage command uncovered the dastardly perpetrator! But I shall let him rest in peace, because I have plenty of storage anyway.
