Hi 2510p users,
Following up from http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=4626084#post4626084 I would like to compare the acpi DSDT tables against different bios versions. I have F.0A, so would ideally want higher and lower versions. F.0E and F.07 would be great. I would like to do a DIFF against these tables and see what changes they're making.. specifically if HP are disabling the second IDE controller via the DSDT table.
So, can you please save your DSDT table of your bios then link to this thread? (eg: stashbox.org) If you have Linux it's as simple as linking the dsdt.aml file from the following command:
$ cat /proc/acpi/dsdt > dsdt.aml
For Windows users, a bit more complex: http://avkrok.net/nw8240/windows.html

Thanks Jay2k1,
Done a diff on F.0A and F.0E. They are exactly the same DSDT. So the main bios code is doing the IDE controller switching.
Anyway, links to both versions are referenced in http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=4626084#post4626084 in case anyone else needs them. -
