I just got my 2530p... I think I made a great choice.
So I just finished burning my SWSetup folder but I can't seem to find a way to backup my entire computer. I have gone through a few threads and it seems that it is possible to make recovery discs. However, I can't find such a program and my laptop actually came with the following:
Vista Business operating system DVD
XP operating system CD
application and driver recovery DVD for vista
application and driver recovery DVD for xp
So I am assuming that I don't need to burn a recovery disc, correct? Has anyone else received these discs?
Thanks

You do not have to make recovery DVDs unless you want to preserve the applications, configurations and user accounts in your initial default setup. The DVDs provided are standard Windows DVDs, so they will perform a clean install of Windows without the drivers and applications, which you have to load separately from the Apps and Drivers DVD.

I thought I was the only one who bought a 2530p, I've seen no threads on it other than the review, nice to see someone else got one
I am very impressed with it so far!
Regarding the system backup- you can create a system restore point through vista right? I've never tried it, but I think it does "kind of" back up your system, you can revert back to the restore point if something goes wrong down the road if I'm not mistaken? -
I am not too familiar with HP's configurations. I would have thought there would be a restore partition... oh well, I like it better this way.
The laptop is awesome. Very well built, except the LCD lid seems to flex if you grab it at the edges and try to twist it. Have you experienced that? I guess it doesn't really matter as long as the LCD doesn't crack/break or start showing funny lines.
