    Hello,

I've got an Envy 17 3D 2090-nr which I installed a vertex 3 120gb SSD, deleted the default RAID0 setup for the 2 750gb drives installed by default and used one of the 750gb drives as a backup/media drive with it installed in the second drive caddy. Now when the computer sleeps the 750GB drive doesnt show up when the computer is awoken and intel rapid storage manager shows it as unplugged.

    Help?

Wow that's weird. The only thing I can think of is a power plan or bios setting that is turning off power to the drive during sleep and when the laptop wakes up, not returning power quickly enough causing the driver to time out its communication with the drive.

Have you tried swapping in the other 750gb drive to confirm that the problem stays with the laptop and not the drive?

I had my D drive, 2nd HDD disapear completely out of the blue one day in my 1.5 year old HDX 18. Reboot, etc, didn't help. Flashed BIOS to the latest and it was back! I never touched the BIOS since new before this. That was a couple months ago and still runs ok.
