till now i have had 5 BSODs in total.

one was for NTFS ssomething, i dont have a problem with that since it only happened once.

then once more was ATIsomething, for this i blame myself because i overclocked my GPU too much.

Now since the past week ive had 3 BSODs for the same reason.

    It says Driver_ppower_failure

This has happened 3 times in this week only.

It only happens when i close the lid of my laptop and and dont put it to sleep.

Yesterday this happened to me for the 2nd time and it was in my bag so i didnt realize it until 2 hours later when i opened it.

When i opened it , it was VERY hot, im taking lilke the laptop was untouchable on the left side, it NEVER gets that hot.

So im just a little worried now, if ths keeps on happening i may damage my laptop.

Compared to this, my old sony vaio has only had 1 BSOD in over 2 years

IIRC, driver_power_failure means windows waited too long for a device to 'power down'. You can read more in your system logs
Start > control panel > administrative tools > even log>system
