Hello, I just recently received my dv4t and reformatted it, and its been working fine until I notice these problem today.

1st- The quick touch mute button keeps on going out (orange) and coming back (Normal White), this annoying b/c every once in a while it'll go out and makes this "tuck" noise.

2nd- My build-in mic doesn't seem to be working, I use msn messenger and when I tried to configure it, it says the mic I have isn't working properly. This is weird b/c under recording devices, it says it's working. (Is there anyway to test this under windows?)

3rd- I can't seem to get the HD Hybrid TV tuner to work. I've tried using Media Center with the coax cable plug in, and I still get nothing. I just hope I have the right driver (HP ATSC/Analog TV Tuner?)

Thank you all for your help.

    The problem is simple.
You said you reformatted your laptop, right?
The chance to have problems with drivers/hardware is big.
Maybe the hotkeys Fn doesnt work properly too.
Thats too with the mic and quick touch.
You better had keep the fabricage installs and configurations.

This also happened to me with my Sony Vaio laptop.
I paid 90 bucks to get fabric installs.
Try if your Hotkeys FN working.

Yea, everything else is working. The weird thing about this is that it all worked fine for awhile. I already figured out my Mic problem (it was using my plug in instead of the build in). The sound thing is still going crazy. And it would be very helpful if someone can just confirm if I have the right driver for the TV Tuner (ATSC/Analog) and what other program I would need for it to work properly.

The mute button flashing and beeping should've been fixed by the latest IDT drivers from HP...either that, or the new BIOS (F.34 I believe) should fix the issue.
