I have a Compaq nw8440 a docking station and two samsung monitors is there some software i can get to make all three monitors(laptop included)as an extended display? currenty everytime i try to change anything i can get the laptop with either monitor working or the two monitors and the laptop screen turns off. surely this is possible without extra hardware.

    Thanks,
    Damien

No, this requires extra hardware. I'm not familiar with any notebooks that are capable of using 3 displays (including the notebook display) without additional hardware like a VTBook card or a DualHead2Go adapter.

If you think about it, desktops can only use two high-res displays at the same time, too, unless you add extra hardware (an extra non-SLI video card).
