    hi,
I have a zt3020ea and trouble while using 3dsmax. my notebook has a radeon 9200 mobile and a 15,4” display which is running 1280x800.
The problem is that my system hangs (the radeon 9200 gets into a infinite loop) while running 3dsmax (5.1 and the max6 demo). So I wrote to the notebook manufactor for support. They said that there might be a incompatibility between 3dsmax and the desktop resolution of 1280x800. So my question is did someone ever experienced system lookups while running 3dsmax?

    profblack--

I've never used 3dsmax--don't even know what it is...but just a thought--you can change the display on your laptop to what would be a normal desktop display size (like 1024 x 768). Of course this isn't an optimal display for your laptop, as it will stretch items on the screen in weird ways.

You could try this, and see if you could then get 3dsmax to run correctly on your laptop. If it works, this would narrow down your problem to the screen resolution.

    Hope this helps!
