    Hi everyone,
I finally got the 8710p that I've been waiting for....my IT department immediately wiped it and put a clean XP install on it.
I've been putting all my own data on it over the past 2 days.

Today I discovered 'Credential Manager' and I thought that it sounded like a pretty good idea.

The instant that I enabled it, my windows / Groupwise login went from about 1 minute 30 seconds to 5 minutes and 5 seconds.....I timed it.

From my searches on this forum, I have discovered that this can be a byproduct of this service.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, is there any way to pinpoint the 'hang up' and reduce the start up time?

Barring that, am I able to totally remove Credential Manager in 'Add / Remove Programs' without affecting my freshly loaded system?

    Thanks,
    bb
