I am purchasing a Dv4z and was wondering if I should get a standard 6 cell or the high capacity version?

Basically, I just want to be able to watch one DVD on a plane.. (2 hours) Would this be possible with the regular 6-cell or should I go for the high capacity?

    Thanks!

According to Chaz's review of his dv5z, light usage got 2:30 out of the extended battery on his. Because watching a movie will utilize the optical drive and/or hard drive along with preventing the processor from entering a lower power state...and maybe using MPEG2 decoders on the GPU...

I'm thinking the dv4z is not going to be able to hit even 2 hours watching movies, as its power consumption should be similar to the dv5. It might even only hit 1:30.

getting the high capacity batter will work. They are larger asually stick out the back, but they give you a few more hours to watch movies.

The high capacity battery life on the dv5z is 2:30, that is not a few more hours. Yes, it is not the dv4z but the power consumption should be similar between the two.

HP's "high capacity battery" has only around 25% more battery life...and the computer does not get a stellar battery life from the start anyway.

Please check facts before posting claims like this.

It doesn't stick out. It just has around 28% more capacity. 55 WHR compared to 43 WHR. (I'm not sure about the 43 WHR part, but I'm sure about 55 WHR part)

The 12 cell sticks out, I'm not sure about the extended 6 but I'm guessing it does not.

The 12 MIGHT get you the battery life you need.

It seems like for 16% I might as well stick with the standard one.. it appears that the high capacity won't be enough for a movie anyhow..

6 cell high capacity has like 800mah more than the standard battery. Standard battery has 4400mah if i recall correctly. It just has higher capacity cells.
