    Hi guys,

Is it true there is a known issue with DV and V6000 laptops?
I've seen two which wouldn't even POST and get past the BIOS.
    Complete blank screens.

I stripped and rebuilt one, but couldn't see any obvious damage.

    Best regards,
    DPCS

This is correct It is an issue with the motherboards, and hp does replace them for free for a spec time frame

They have issued a statement saying they know about the problem. They also extended the warranty the models effected so that even people that no longer have a warranty on their laptop can still get the problem fixed.
