My brother has a 6000z that came with a TV Tuner. The system came with Home Premuim.

I loaded a clean install of Business and blew out the recovery partition. He's now unable to get the tuner to work.

Does anyone know the requirements to get the TV Tuner to work? I've gotten mixed signals from HP that the recovery partition is needed, along with quickplay.

They've stated Business can't be used, but I have a hard time believing that since hpshopping sells this device with business.

IIRC, Media Center only comes with Vista Home Premium and Vista Ultimate. I think that's your problem.

He just got it to work by installing quickplay. Possibly the only thing that can't be done is record? I don't know, suggestions are welcome.
