I have a 6000z. This evening, I was working on my computer and it randomly shut down w/o any warning. No blue screen, no messages in error log, it just completely shut off.

I have the battery in and am using the power cord too, there is no reason why it should have shut off. My cpus are also in the high 50C, so there aren't overheating.

    Anyone else seen this?

Is the notebook working now? Sometimes, BSODs flash by so quickly that you can't see them...did/does the notebook say anything about recovering from a serious error?

It's working fine now. There definitely wasn't a blue screen, I was staring at the computer now.
One time is still one time too many, it concerns me. I bought it 3 months ago. At least I bought it at Costco.

I just seen it. Is there any logs to look at concerning this?

That was one of the reasons I sent my notebook (dv5020us) in. This happened to me several times, exact same situation as the original poster's and no "Windows has recovered from a serious error" or anything to even cause a speculation that it was a Windows error. :/

I once had a random shut down issue and it was due to a hard drive that was about to kick the bucket. It may be something else in your case, but I'd back up data if I were you and check the HDD.
