I was just wondering if I get a copy of XP64 is there anywhere I could get all the 64bit drivers for my DV9000t? I know Vista is a 64bit OS but I personally dont want the resource hog on my system. So if I got a copy of XP64 will it do me any good since it doesnt look like HP supports it?

You will have to look for the drivers on your own. HP has never supported any 64bit OS. Vista will be available in both 64bit as well as 32bit & I think most manufacturers are still going to stick with the 32bit version for the forseeable future.

Yes, they are. I used RC2-x64 for a little while on my machine.

For the most part, the Microsoft installation recognizes almost all the hardware right off the bat...even for my HP machine (and HP doesn't have Vista drivers out for it either). I doubt there will be too much trouble with that.

I personally will probably never use vista. It appears to be too much of a resource hog.

As long as you have 1GB RAM, or 2 GB if you game, it should be fine.

Anyway, XP64 is little more than Windows 2000 re-compiled in 64bit with the XP GUI. That's why it was pathetic driver support, and also why I've never used it.

I just dont think Im willing to let my OS have half the ram I have avalible. Thats a bit much for a flashier UI and not much improvement over XP from what Ive read.
