Hi I just got my 6500t and have it hooked up to my hdtv through hdmi, when I try playing some mpeg2 hd video files through powerdvd v7 or wmp or vlc the picture will never fully play correctly. I see this one line in the middle of the screen occasionally that breaks up the picture making everything unwatchable. I'm using the latest nvidia drivers off of the hp site. any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

wanted to add that the line in the middle is also present when watching on the laptop screen and in all my video files like wmv, and avi files

there from different sources. ill open the wmv file and it will play with these weird corruption lines in the middle and the bottom. I close media player and open same file again and its still corrupted. I try it again on the same file for the third time and now it played back normally without the lines. I close it to try it again and its back to having the lines in it. this is all from the laptop screen. is there a problem with the video card?
    I have no viruses.
if I cant figure this out im going to return the notebook.

you might try first installing some codec pack...

its not a codec problem. I installed the same ones that work on my other computer.

it might be codec problem unless you have exactly same hardware computer-wise... which i doubt. try different codec pack or newer version as there might be problems with working with gfx driver or os.

ps sorry for the offtop, but what kind of cable do you have? with double male connectors or double female connectors?
