    today i bought an 6720s
    it tells me there is no drive

    Hmmm...? Doesn't sound right... Maybe the HD or the mobo connector is faulty.. But i think you should try booting with a Live CD first.. Or installing XP/Vista on it..

    when I try installing windows XP it tells there is no hard drive to install on it
    and .. what is a live CD ??

    you have to disable native sata mode... or something like that... i've read it somewhere... go up and write it into the search area :)
