Hey guys. I just bought a new Compaq Presario v4000t with a 1.73MHz processor, 1GB ram, X700 Mobility Radeon, and 80GB 5400RPM hard drive. I am getting really bad 3DMark05 scores (average score of 675), and poor 3D performance overall. I have tried both the official HP drivers, as well as the ATI.com catalyst drivers using the Driver Heaven Mobility Mod Tool. Both provide the same 3DMark05 scores. Also, I have made sure dynamic switching is not on, and I have set everything to "performance" in the ATI settings page. Why am I getting such low scores? What can I do? Thanks for any help.

Are you performing the benchmark on battery power?

Probably your CPU is running at a lower speed. Set the Power scheme to Home/Office or Always on, while running 3DMark
