i own a dv7 6001-sg. Since 2 weeks when i play videofiles the system freeze after a while. I installed the Leshcat, same problem. I formatted yesterday the system and installed the "officail" drivers from the hp site, but nothing changes...
Is my grafic card dying?
thanks

Have you tried AMD's drivers? I kind of suspect I have a notebook with bad video RAM that causes occasional crashes, but it's hard to test...the GPU actually seems to be fine though, but it's hard to directly test the video RAM.

the AMD drivers are not compatible with my laptop...
-
Yes your GPU is dying. Are you still under warranty?

not possible to change it. this happened to both AMD and Intel GPU?
-
I didnt try with the Intel one. -
yup, not possible. it's soldered on the mainboard and you also need to mod the BIOS.
have u tried Leshcat Issue resolver? Go into safemode use Modified AMD file option. -
