So when I install a new driver over the HP drivers (SP55092) it breaks CCC and the ability to switch between GPUs.

It's always done this I just always preferred the SP55092 driver from HP anyway but now I'd like to use 12.4a.

This is the usual sequence of things:
    -I install the HP drivers
    -restart laptop
-install new driver (only updating the AMD driver itself and nothing else)

From here switching actually still works. It's when I restart the laptop that CCC seems to stop working.

Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

(dunno why it deleted my post when i posted the thread but oh well)

I am having an issue a similar issue updating my drivers. Whenever I try to install it I get a message about my system being incompatible and that I should contact my hardware manufacture. Any ideas?

that sounds like you're downloading drivers that aren't mobile compatible

go to the guru3d.com forums for ati drivers and find the latest driver and be sure to download the mobility version then try updating

idk if my issue is specific to the driver (12.4a) that im trying to install or what but it's annoying ~_~

go on leshcats blog and download catalyst 12.2 and follow the install instructions exactly, it fixed all my issues with battlefield 3 and my non working switchable graphics
