hello everyone, i really need help with my graphic card.
So basically i running stock drivers from hp for my 6770m and recently tried to play minecraft but it keeps crushing. I googled the problem and found out that others had my same problem. I heard about leshcat drivers, i tried to install them but i had a problem after the installation and had to recover windows.

Has anyone here had this issue with minecraft? i can play most games perfectly fine but when it comes to minecraft after a few seconds of gameplay the game crushes.

So is there any fix for this problem?

If i wanted to upgrade to the leshcat drivers:
    - Which one should i download? (can you post the link!)
    - How do i install them? Do i just install them or do i need to remove my stock drivers? if yes, what is the best way to do it?

    thank you for reading

Please, try to describe the problem a bit more. I can play it without issues on HP drivers and also on the newest Leshcat one. Are you using fixed mode or dynamic mode switching? Which bios you have now? Operating system?

I had the DV6-6135tx with the same GPU and I doubt your graphics card is the problem seeing you can play other games fine. The drivers on the HP driver site are the best for this card IMO and I tried many. Personally I'd re-install the game before screwing around with the drivers.

    ok:
    i am using fixed mode
hp stock driver for hd 6770m version 8.882.2.3000
hp stock driver for intel graphics 8.882.2.3000
    bios f1.B

every time i play the game, the game crashes after a few minutes with the message saying that the graphics card recovered.

I get this problem only with minecraft.

It sounds like the classic Battlefield 3 issue. Are you using a legal copy of minecraft? Any mods installed? (shader mod) Try to reinstall the game completely.

If there's no other solution, try to install the Leshcat 13.10 driver. Strictly on fixed mode. If that doesn't solve the problem there's some more issue than driver failure. Or this is just a bug in your system.

yes this is a legal copy of minecraft and no mods were installed. i googled the problem and it seems that other people had my same problem and solved it by installing the leschat drivers. I would i go about doing this? how do i uninstall the drivers and which version should i download? this is my first time installing custom drivers so if you had like a step by step guide that would be great.

also i found this solution on the hp forums.
Re: Video Card Drivers AMD Radeon HD 6770M - HP Support Forum - 1403555

it basically says to install this file on top of the hp drivers. Do you have any idea what this file is? should i try it before installing the leshcat drivers?

Thank you so much for your help

You can install Leshcat over the stock driver, just make sure the AMD card is active. I recommend the 13.1 driver as the newest beta can make slowdowns in some newer games. There are two pack for 13.1 I'm using the original version not the updated "v2.1". No problem so far with Windows 8, just the watermark on the desktop. (but I don't mind)
