    6910p battery life concerns

    Hi, it seems that with gma x3100, 6910p can push into 4 hours. But I am buying in Canada, so I cannot configure it to gma x3100 and all the pre-built models have ati x2300. The ones with gma x3100 actually cost more for some reason.

    Anyway, I am wondering how much would the x2300 reduce?

    For example, if i run at 50% brightness with wifi on, everything else off doing light work, how long would I get it?

    I am really trying hard to find a decent thin and light laptop with 4+ hours battery life :(

    You might be able to push 2 1/2 - 3 hours. I get around 3 1/2 hours with minimum brightness, which for me is quite adequate indoors without sunlight.
    If you want 4+ hours, it would be best to either try and find a GMA equiped 6910p, go up to the 8510p or probably the best alternative is buying the 8 cell travel battery.

    Thanks, I am considering 8510p and the 6910p with gma x3100.

    How much more battery life do you think I could get with the gma x3100?
