hey guys was hoping u could help me out

I was playing hitman absolution and realised my laptop was like REALLY hot.. So i ran HW Monitor and saw that my temperature of gpu (7690m XT) was like 97 degree celcius....

    I'm certain that REALLY high....

So I was hoping you guys could help me out on how to fix this overheating issue? What should I do? I dont really remember my temperature going above 90 degrees before. I always play with my laptop on a flat surface..

btw my laptop is hp dv6 6c02tx

Disassemble the aptop and clean the vents near the fan. + you can apply new thermal paste if you want to lower the temps more.

    thanks for the reply...

Will probably hold on to the thermal paste suggestion for a while. Not sure where to get good thermal paste or how to apply it...

as for disassemple the laptop, thats a scary proposition. I'm not really a hardware genius... cant blowing air into the laptop from an airblower (without opening the laptop) work?

Well turns out the model I had (dv6 6c02 tx) cant open from the bottom. To access the heatsinks etc I would have to access it from the top, which would mean takeing out pretty much every single component including the motherboard.

So I just took a blower and blew air into the laptop from the outside and now my temperature is down like ~30degrees :D AlhamdulilALlah....
