im going to be getting an hp Dv6z soon
    with an hd 1080p screen
    should i go with the a10-4600m + 7670m? or the 7730m?
I see that it excells in xfire supported games, but id just hate to be in crap low settings in only single gpu supported games

    What would you guys do?

This has been posted in a couple other related threads but i thought i should make my own, sorry if youve seen this already

I'd go with the 7730, one fast gpu is always better than a cf/sli setup.

    Now heres the kicker
would you rather get the a10-4600m with 7730m and a 1080p screen
    or
    for the same price
    an i5-3210 with a GT 650m w/ a 1366x768 screen?

Keep in mind I wont be gaming too much on just the laptop
when im home I hook it up externally to my 23" samsung LED

getting the better screen is always the best option

id say go with a10 and 7670m it out performs the 7730m in dx11 games

if u play mostly dx9 games then go with 7730m

I would get the 7730m. Newer tech and it isn't prone to microstuttering or CF problems.

Yeah the 7730 actually has GCN under the hood, so it's actually a somewhat decent GPU.

we've never gotten any real comparisons between 7670 xfire and 7730 alone.

3dmark11 just isn't a good basis for comparison.
