Well i've ordered my dv2700 and i'm doing research on everything I need for a clean install. I know that I need a driver from laptopvideo2go but which is the latest or best that will work with the 8400M GS 128mb?

There are so many series of drivers on their site I am totally confused as to which driver I need once i've done a clean install.

    Thanks

just select your operating system on the laptopvideo2go website and select the newest drivers and they should work

Then again, it depends if your thinking about overclocking. I tried the 169.09 and it didn't work. Most people say that the last driver anyone was able to successfully overclock with was the 169.04. But if your not planning on overclocking then 169.09 is just fine.

I'm still using the 163.71 in XP. I've noticed that other drivers do perform better in gaming in XP (and slightly better in Vista), but that comes with one downfall.. the gamma in video playback gets all messed up! I mean, video when using hardware acceleration of any kind is artifically bright and doesn't look right at all. Blacks look light grey. So I'm just sticking with these drivers until one comes along that fixes the gamma bug and performs better as well.

I tried the updated drivers from laptop2go and kept getting driver errors trying to run HD-DVD playback. Had to roll it back to the hp driver before it would work.

Hey i'm usin XP 32bits SP3 and the driver that usually used to work for me doesn't work any more, i don't know if it is for the update to sp3 or something else, i'm triying to find a newer driver to update, my specs are: NV8400GS (hp laptop, DV6500T), 4gb of ram and 160gb of HD.

    please help
