Hey guys. These may be really stupid questions but somebody has to ask them and I might as well be that guy.

I just got my 8430 and I had a few stupid questions.

1st off, I made my backup DVDs as soon as I got the computer started up. Can I go ahead and delete the backup partition? whats the easiest way to do that?

also, theres a "safely remove device" icon in my tray, presumably for the SD media slot that i'm not using... can I make that icon go away? the same for the "network unplugged" icons. when theres no ethernet cable in it gives me that big X on the tray and the same when have the wireless disabled. is there a way to make those go away. not a crucial thing by any means, but just kinda annoying.

anyway if someobody can help enlighten me, i'd appriciate it.

also, i apologize for the massive amount of typos that are probably in there... this is my first laptop and im not really used to the keyboard yet

yes you can delete the partition if you do not need it,

if you dont want the network unplugged icon just disable it in network connections.

i believe there should be a firewire service, wireless then the ethernet network icon there, you just disable the ethernet one if you dont use it.

2 out of 3, hope that sort of helps
