    Hey guys:
I know several of you are waiting on the 8510W to get in stock. According to HP, if everything holds true, they'll be arriving en masse to the warehouse on the 13th (Friday).

If you are holding out for CTO sku's, those will be available on 7/30/07.

As for the 8510P, the specialist I spoke with said not to be getting my hopes up until sometime in September.

Thanks for the info. I don't believe you (not because I don't trust you, but because I have been waiting too long for this notebook!)

I think I can confirm information jeeves915 got from HP.

Sunday 15th should be the official launch date for 8510w an both 8710, CTO will come later. 8510p will be introduced in September (I have confirmed this date from one HP worker who is really well informed about laptop launch dates).

Thanks, that's good to know. I was debating just upgrading the HDD and maybe RAM in my nc8430 and holding off on upgrading the notebook itself a few months... that kind of makes things easier.

Well Gman, we shall have to see come July 17. If I don't have my laptop by then, you're right, and HP is full o' crap. If I do, you'll see a review for it shortly thereafter.
