Received my 8510p with pre-installed Vista Business. Trying to get Aero to appear, no luck. I cannot see any transparency setting or anything? Does the graphics card on the 8510p not suppport?

It does support it. Run a Windows Experience thingy and it should work then.

Ran the experience index. Shows a score of 4.7. But when I select Aero nothing happens. Keeps defaulting to Vista basic.

Update video drivers. Was aero already there when you opened your notebook for first time?

Updated video driver from HP support. Still no luck with the Aero?

I use the most bland basic Vista layout to cut back on resource usage, but I just switched my appearance to Vista Aero without issue. I'm all bloated now! :)

All I can suggest is updating to latest drivers with the modtool off http://driverheaven.net/ or reinstalling Vista (which is what I'd recommend anyway...clean format of Vista runs much better on the 8510p than the bloated pre-purchase install :p)
